  • Overview

    Ntrepid has an immediate mid-level Infrastructure Engineer opening. You will be responsible for building and maintaining all core systems and services needed for day-to-day operations supporting multiple product groups.  Primary work location will be at Ntrepid’s office located in San Diego, CA.

    Responsibilities

    • Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure
    • Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software, and system management tools
    • Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies
    • Provide 2nd and 3rd level support
    • Manage all core infrastructure services (DNS, AD, LDAP, Monitoring, Backups)
    • Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower human intervention on routine tasks
    • Aid infrastructure design and deployment to support multiple product groups
    • Build automation tools to streamline and scale infrastructure services in cloud environments

    Qualifications

    • U.S. Citizenship required
    • Must be able to obtain/maintain a security clearance
    • 5+ years of configuration management experience (CFEngine and Ansible preferred)
    • Bachelors or higher in computer science, electrical engineering, or equivalent.
    • Highly proficient working in Linux OS environments, such as Ubuntu and CentOS
    • Experience writing custom scripts in Python or Bash
    • Extensive knowledge of database deployments, such as PostgreSQL and MySQL
    • Prior experience setting up centralized monitoring with tools like Zabbix, and Nagios
    • Experience engineering and deploying immutable infrastructure with technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Cloud deployments
    • Experience with virtualization software such as VMware vSphere and Nutanix AHV (KVM/libvirt)
    • Cloud and Datacenter experience preferred
