    Ntrepid’s Special Programs Analytics Research and Technological Applications (SPARTA) group is seeking a Behavioral Science Research Analyst. The analyst will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment emphasizing collaboration, interpersonal, and communication skills that encompasses multiple core competencies.

    SPARTA is a tight-knit hybrid team made up of Engineers, Data Scientists, and Behavioral Scientists. We fuse multiple perspectives and disciplines to advance innovative prototypes and methodology.


    • Conducts desk research as well as primary field research (qualitative and quantitative) using multiple methods and data streams to drive understanding of opinions, attitudes, and corresponding behaviors of interest.
    • Will leverage behavioral science models, methods, and metrics to understand and predict human behavior.
    • Will take multiple data types (quantitative and qualitative) and merge data with multiple technology tools (both open source and commercial) to drive understanding of topics of concern (with a special emphasis on behavioral issues).
    • Assists in the design and execution of research protocols and internal research projects.
    • Assists in the design and implementation of tools to help capture data (e.g. survey tools, focus group scripts, etc.).
    • Should have demonstrable experience with multiple research methods of relevance to behavioral science such as political science, international relations, intelligence analysis, conflict studies (using conflict assessment frameworks), GIS research, stabilization studies, etc. Should be comfortable using multiple levels of analysis (regional, state, subnational, individual, etc.


    • U.S. Citizenship required
    • Must be eligible to obtain/maintain a security clearance
    • Advanced degree in political science (or adjacent field) is required. MA/MS required, PhD preferred.
    • 2+ years of experience with multiple forms of quantitative analysis related to behavioral sciences is a must.
    • Strong understanding, and research ability, with regard to regions such as Europe, Africa, Eurasia, or Middle East.
    • Foreign language skills are a plus.  
    • Data visualization capability (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite, Tableau) is a plus.
    • Must be personable and work well with a team.
    • Should be willing and able to travel to conduct and oversee projects as needed.
