  • Overview

    Ntrepid is seeking a Senior Windows DevOps Engineer to join the engineering team for the company’s flagship product. 

    The ideal candidate brings solid experience being hands-on with system architectures, automation, infrastructure as code, configuration management, monitoring, and tools development for enterprise software and systems. The candidate should possess a strong background in running Microsoft Windows based infrastructure at scale, highly available and with fault tolerance.

    The candidate must have above average communication skills and a passion for automating everything, with a sense of ownership. A proven track record of helping to design, develop, and maintain dependable, mission-critical systems and products is a must. The successful candidate will be contributing to the architecture, automation, configuration management, tools development in an Agile environment.

    Responsibilities

    • Innovate in the area of automation to replace large-scale manual operating processes.
    • Work with developers and your systems engineering team to resolve issues related to application configuration, deployment, or debugging.
    • Collaborate and help build utilities and tools for internal use that enable you and your fellow engineers to operate the infrastructure efficiently.
    • Work cross-functionally with various internal teams to drive amazing results.
    • Resolve problems at their root with simple and repeatable solutions.
    • Help design automated systems management solutions with self-repair as the goal.
    • Collaborate on processes that enhance operation workflow and provide positive customer impact.

    Qualifications

    • U.S. Citizenship required
    • TS/SCI eligibility required, or ability to obtain/maintain a U.S. Security Clearance
    • Bachelors or higher in computer science, electrical engineering, or equivalent (can be waived for corresponding experience) with 5+ years of relevant experience.

     

    Technical - Required

    • Experience with agile methodologies and practices.
    • Extensive experience working with Microsoft Windows in an enterprise development environment.
    • Experience with Microsoft Windows Server / Desktop automation with Powershell.
    • Experience using configuration management software like Chef, Powershell.
    • Experience with the Software Development Lifecycle, SDLC
    • Good understanding of Microsoft Windows security and systems best practices.
    • Knowledge supporting and implementing Microsoft Active Directory Services

     

    Technical – Preferred

    • Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware VSphere.
    • Experience with API driven infrastructure and micro-service architecture.
    • An understanding of network engineering and security principles (e.g. TCP/IP protocols, routing, switching, filtering, firewall rules, etc.).
