    Ntrepid is an unconventional technology company seeking creative analysts who combine knowledge of US national security issues with practical programming experience. Analysts on Ntrepid’s Smith team contribute to research and prototyping projects and help solve the toughest challenges in the cyber and social media domains.

    Responsibilities

    • Develop prototypes and evaluate new technologies to improve our products and better address customer needs
    • Brainstorm and work collaboratively to solve emerging cybersecurity issues impacting Ntrepid’s customers and products.
    • Conduct independent research and analysis on national security and cyber security issues.
    • Write persuasive and thorough analytical reports for customers and company leadership.
    • Prepare and deliver briefings on analytical research, new technologies, and team projects.

    Qualifications

    Required:

    • U.S. Citizenship is required
    • Bachelor’s degree in international relations, political science, or related field.
    • Completed courses or have practical experience using Python, JavaScript, or Java.
    • Excellent research, writing, and presentation skills.
    • Ability to quickly gain expertise on new subject matter and technologies.
    • Interest or experience in open source intelligence techniques.
    • Demonstratable domain-related understanding and experience with social media, mobile applications, and emerging technologies.

    Preferred:

    • Graduate degree in international relations or political science
    • Minor in computer science.
    • Experience writing scripts and operating tools to scrape the web.
    • Practical knowledge of IP networking.
    • Advanced reading and writing ability in Arabic, Chinese, Russian, or Farsi is a plus.
