  • Overview

    We are looking for a Senior Network Engineer to manage, deploy, and improve our growing network infrastructure.  You will be part of a team that is responsible for developing scalable, maintainable, highly available network architectures that meet business objectives and SLAs.  The ideal candidate has a solid background in enterprise level design, implementation and support of network infrastructure, and a desire to tackle complex problem sets.


    • Manage, build, and implement networks for Ntrepid’s production and pre-production environmentsin multiple data centers.
    • Configure and install network devices and services (routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, virtual appliances, etc).
    • Work collaboratively with product teams to develop a deep understanding of their requirements. Implement network architecture to meet these requirements in the most efficient, scalable, and cost effective manner. 
    • Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure.
    • Implement security tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the company’s security team.
    • Collaborate with business development and product teams to develop custom solutions when required. Provide work estimates and hardware requirements for such solutions.
    • Provide high-level enterprise (level 3/4) support to resolve production issues.
    • Document and diagram architecture of network systems and use documentation to train NOC and other teams.
    • Perform network maintenance and system upgrades.
    • Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
    • Interact with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution.

    • Active TS SCI with Poly security clearance
    • 8+ years of proven hands-on network engineering experience.
    • 8+ years supporting enterprise network devices on platforms such as Junos, Screenos, PAN-OS, or Cisco IOS. Strong understanding of implementations and configurations using these technologies.
    • Extensive knowledge of the broad range of technologies in the industry (industry standards, new products/solutions, future trends, etc.) and the ability to leverage this knowledge to improve Ntrepid products and infrastructure.
    • In-depth understanding network fundamentals (OSI or TCP/IP model, L2/L3 technologies, IP addressing/subnetting in IPv4 and IPv6, etc.)
    • Junos experience: Ideal candidate would have strong experience with Junos devices. This includes clustering, virtual chassis, security and NAT policies, VPN configuration, advanced features, etc.
    • Solid understanding of dynamic routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, etc.) and ability to use that understanding to improve performance and availability.
    • Strong understanding of VPN technologies, specifically IPSec and OpenVPN.
    • Experience in any of the following is a plus: AWS, VMWare, Palo Alto, Nutanix, A10 Networks platforms, network automation, Ansible (or similar tools).
    • Fundamental Linux experience, specifically in regards to troubleshooting network issues.
    • Experience troubleshooting network and protocols using tools like tcpdump, ping, traceroute, Wireshark, iperf, mtr, flow filters, traceoptions, debugging etc.
