Product Analyst 12

The Product Analyst serves as a bridge between product vision, customer or business problems, and software development. This role works closely with Product and Engineering to understand problems, explore potential solutions, and translate ideas into clear requirements, prototypes, user stories, and acceptance criteria. The Product Analyst helps communicate development progress, milestones, and deliverables while supporting Agile product development from problem discovery through implementation.

• Work in an Agile environment to plan product releases that balance customer needs and business goals.
• Work alongside Tech Lead in the planning, execution, and review of each sprint, identifying opportunities and risks.
• Work with Product Manager to understand and validate customer needs; contribute to product roadmap.
• Build or support early prototypes, workflows, proofs of concept, or other materials to help communicate and validate proposed solutions.
• Translate needs into user stories, define their acceptance criteria, and verify when they are met.
• Be the expert of customer workflows and needs, acting as the voice of our customers for team questions.
• Ensure transparency into the development progress and relay milestones and deliverables to stakeholders.
• Gather needs and feedback from many sources and decide what will best deliver value to customers; including decisions on what NOT to build.
• Manage, refine, and prioritize the backlog of needs to drive business value based on product roadmap and strategy.
• Collaborate with departments across the organization to get buy in on the priority order of the product backlog.
• Work closely with your development team to ensure they understand problems to be solved, expected outcomes, and business context.
• Develops understanding of how features/workflows impact customer retention and customer growth.
• Assists in prioritizing the backlog to drive business value.
• Develop an understanding of customer workflows, user needs, and how product features support customer retention and growth.
• Conduct targeted research on users, competitors, cybersecurity trends, and emerging technologies.

• U.S. Citizenship Required.
• Experience in a technical, engineering, software development, quality assurance, product design, data, systems, or other technology-focused role.
• Demonstrated interest in transitioning into or growing within Product.
• Experience working with software development or technical teams.
• Understanding of Agile or iterative software development processes.
• Ability to identify problems, evaluate potential solutions, and make thoughtful recommendations.
• Ability to translate ideas, user needs, and business problems into clear requirements or technical deliverables.
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills, with the ability to build alignment across functions.
• Proactive, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Ability to learn new technologies and understand technical concepts quickly.
• Experience working with Atlassian tools such as Jira or Confluence preferred.
• Experience with hands-on AI, automation, data analysis, prototyping, or emerging technology preferred.
• Experience with user stories, acceptance criteria, backlog management, product ownership, business analysis, QA, engineering, or product design preferred.
• Knowledge of the cybersecurity domain, customer workflows, government technology, or mission-focused work is a plus but not required.
